Transdisciplinary Integration of Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecosystems for Advancing Health, Food Security, and Nutrition

Transdisciplinary integration and practices involve collaborative approaches that bridge disciplines—such as veterinary science, aquaculture, environmental science, and Nutrition” -addresses one of the great public health—to address complex challenges like climate change, food security, and ecosystem health through unified, practical solutions. To address zoonosis and other public health issues multi-disciplinary practices is gradually being considered, but trans-disciplinary practices are scarce. This conference therefore will focus on how trans-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary approach works in addressing One Health issues.

Climate change poses significant threats to global food systems, animal and human health, and ecological balance, resulting in profound disruptions to agriculture, livestock, aquaculture and natural ecosystems. These challenges are not only reshaping our environment but are also intensifying health risks, dropping productivity, and threatening biodiversity on an unprecedented scale. Considering these growing concerns, the theme highlights the critical need for innovative, sustainable, and science-driven solutions to mitigate the detrimental impacts of climate change. We emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration and networking among researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to promote resilient food systems, ensuring public health, animal health, and safeguard biodiversity for a better planet for future inhabitants.
